When I scheduled service I told the person I needed an oil change and the nav system updated because we were going on a trip. When I got to the dealership the service writer knew nothing about the nav system update. I was upset because the nav system was the most important thing I needed. The service writer told me they didn’t do that. He gave me a print out of the GM site where I could order it. I went to the site and found out it wasn’t available for my 2015 terrain

My wife and I wanted to drive several models of SUV, Rod from Sommers made that happen. Rod knew my wife would be primary driver of this SUV and he focused on her interest and pointed out features to her. As we focused in on desired SUV model he educated both of us on all of the great features. Alex the “Deal” man was nice to negotiate with and brought up my pleasant experience of buying past cars from Sommers. Although I purchased my car at a different dealership, I asked Gary Mortag if Sommer's GMC could do a software update for me. Gary said they could do it and scheduled it for me. They treated me as if I purchased the car from them. I brought it in at the scheduled date and time and they completed it immediately. I always get great service from Sommer's whether I purchased the vehicle from them or not.

Gary always treats me as an important customer. They arranged for a loaner because they needed to diagnose the reason for my repeat "Check Engine" codes. Their communications and availability of loaners, when needed, are greatly appreciated.

I ranked a 3 star because of the following. I bought this 2021 AT4 in January with 63,000 as a "certified" vehicle. Amagine my surprise when I was told that the 50K service hasn't been performed and it would cost me $800 and take all day. I asked my service manager, "I can't believe this wasn't done to be certified" and I was told it's not a requirement for certification. Really! Now I understand because the new owner, ME will be responsible for it! I think it's a shame that this was NOT revealed to me when I bought the truck. It will make me think twice where I buy my next vehicle. Thinking I have a certified vehicle that ALL of the required maintenance is up to date gave me a peace of mind that I was getting something great. Just goes to show you buyer beware even on GM certified vehicles.

Made this appointment as I’ve had continual negative issues with GMC dealerships in my area. I chose this location hoping to find the location that valued their service customers, but that was not the case. Gary was my service manager and he knew this was my first time at Sommers, yet asked as he couldn’t find my info. The fake and disingenuous interaction was clearly just about optics, but I alerted Gary know I had plans to leave town the following day. I made an appointment to have an oil change and alignment, but had to delay to this date due to equipment availability. I dropped off my truck just before 9am, and finally received any correspondence at 3pm. I was tasked to select needed/suggested work, but received a call almost an hour later stating they couldn’t give me my truck back, despite Gary knowing this. I had to opt out of additional work, pay online, find my own ride back to my vehicle, then to find my truck needs the TMS reprogrammed. I had to make 3 different calls to get this figured out. Don’t plan to have any further work or sales done here after getting the TMS re-programmed at Sommers.

When I obtained an estimate for repair - I indicated I was looking for a second opinion on cost of and necessity of repairing/replacing flex pipe. The service person stated it was covered under warranty. I indicated how excited I was because $1,100 - $1,200 was a lot of money for me. After dropping off my vehicle, I received notification repairs were complete and of an estimate for additional repairs. When I saw that one of the listed items was the flex pipe, I was very surprised, upset and confused. I called Buick service for clarity and was informed the flex pipe wasn't covered under warranty (as I was previously led to believe). When I shared that what I was told was the flex pipe was covered, the gentleman on the phone kept restating it's not covered and the repair was covered. I had to press multiple times for clarity on WHAT was actually covered under warranty . . . name the part. I was informed the part and service total cost was about $300. (Now why would I have been so excited over $300? I could've paid that no problem). When I followed up my questions to express my disappointment in being misled, there was no concern, no remorse, no compassion, no empathy, no apology nor any attempt to try to have a conversation about this. This was my first experience with this auto service location and when I received the initial information, I had it in my mind that this was going to be my go to service location for my vehicle. What started out as a great experience turned into another typical experience of an auto service place taking advantage of a woman . . . I was hoping Sommers was different and was proven wrong.

Had two recalls to be worked on. The 6.2L engine recall was to analyze the susceptibility of damage due to too close tolerances. The engine passed the test and now must use more expensive oil forever. Sommer’s was superior to work with. Really disappointed in GM for not addressing this additional cost going forward.

Dropped my vehicle off and got a loaner. I appreciate the service. Next maintenance found other preventable items which is ok. The issue is I didn’t want my tires rotated because I wanted to get 4 brand new tires and I previously had gotten one used one. The rep stated that I was missing a lug nut and that my tires had not been rotated. I found it odd that the lug nut that was missing was the one that needed the key. I’m sure I wasn’t missing a lug nut but ok no big deal. Today I went to a tire shop to get a quote for tires and also to see if they can get the nail out of my rear driver side tire. Come to find out that my driver side tires had been rotated and the tire with a nail in it had been moved to the front. This in turn lets me know that the mechanic may have miss placed my original lug nut and was not honest about that passing the buck to the consumer. Where’s the integrity?
