1. Little Menomonee Creek

This creek is situated in and around historic wetlands, with lots of habitats and aquatic life. In between fishing the creek for your next catch, you’ll enjoy the natural beauty of the stream crossings, wildlife, and plants. In recent years, the surrounding parkland underwent a restoration to improve the natural habitats, controlling vegetation overgrowth, and improving passageways for fish. It’s an ideal space to enjoy a calm day of fishing, sightseeing, and hiking during the weekend.

2. Village Park

The Village Park is located in the nearby town of Thiensville, WI, and is considered one of the top spots for fishing, boating, and hiking. This outdoor space stretches 16.3 acres with lots of parking and an area to launch your boat. In addition to excellent fishing, you’ll find many other activities at the park, including a baseball field, tennis courts, a playground, a pavilion, picnic tables, and amenities for group events. The Village Park offers a building to rent for private parties and special occasions.  

3. Kletzsch Park

This beautiful place in Glendale, WI, features lots of great fishing opportunities, archery spots, and space for outdoor sports events and activities. Kletzsch Park is dense with lush forest and scenic wetlands. You’ll find lots of interesting areas to explore when you search for your next fishing location. The spectacular views at this park offer wonderful opportunities for photography and viewing wildlife and plants.

4. Rotary Park

Rotary Park is an ideal outdoor space to spend a full day for a wide range of activities. There are stocked ponds available for fishing, hiking trails, soccer and baseball fields, tennis courts, and much more. You’ll find this park is ideal for families and friends for outdoor picnics, barbecues, and sporting events. There are pavilions for rent and lots of amenities to accommodate your visit.

5. Brown Deer Park Pond

This fishing pond near Milwaukee is a beautifully maintained public space offering excellent fishing and wonderful sunset views. This small park offers five acres of fantastic nature. Panfish, largemouth bass, and trout are frequently caught at this park. The pond is shallow, reaching a maximum depth of five or six feet. 

6. River Forest Nature Preserve

You’ll enjoy the picturesque, calming preserve for kayaking, canoeing, and fishing. It’s a wonderful local treasure to visit with the family, bird watching, wildlife, and amazing panoramic views. The park is easily accessible, creating a quiet and peaceful oasis in town. Fishing is ideal for beginners and experienced anglers alike. The River Forest Nature Preserve is open year-round, including snowshoeing and cross-country skiing.
