1. Zarletti

Zarletti is the place to go if you’re looking for luxuriously authentic Italian cuisine and Neapolitan pizzas cooked in wood-burning ovens imported across the sea from Italy. Plan on enjoying your handcrafted slice on a Tuesday when all pizzas are half off or try one of the family-style pre-set dinners with an appetizer, pizza, and dessert combination selected by the chefs. Turn your pizza slice into a complete meal with an appetizer like the Truffle Fries or the Antipasta Platter.
Our absolute favorite Zarletti pizzas are the traditional Margherita with basil and fresh mozzarella, the Bianca with oven-roasted garlic sauce and chèvre, and the Diavola with soppressata and spicy sausage. Aside from their mouth-watering pizza slices, we also love the Braised Short Ribs with saffron risotto and the Cavatappi Salsiccia Marsala made from wild mushrooms and cream sauce. Treat yourself to a flourless chocolate cake or house-made cannoli for dessert.

2. Mequon Pizza Company

Mequon Pizza Company is a second-generation family restaurant that mixes traditional Italian courses with a Wisconsin twist in a warm and cozy atmosphere where customers are treated like family. They also offer Take & Bake Pizzas that you can order ahead of time and pop in the oven at home whenever works best for you. We enjoy starting our meal off with the Crispy Eggplant, the Corkscrew Shrimp, and the Gigantic Soft Pretzel with mustard and cheese sauce.

Topping choices for your customizable pizza include pepperoncini, Italian sausage, assorted peppers, fresh garlic, pineapple, anchovies, and fresh basil. Premium toppings such as grilled pork belly, meatballs, feta cheese, hot capicola, and marinated fire-roasted tomatoes count as two toppings and are well worth it. If a member of your dining party isn’t a fan of pizza, we recommend the Mushroom Ravioli, the Baked Italian Sub, or the Fettucine Deluxe.

3. Ferrante’s

Ferrante’s is an affordable combination of classic Italian dishes and local cuisine that is available dine-in and carryout. For your appetizer, we suggest the Mozarella Marina wrapped the wonton skins, the Eggplant Stix hand-breaded on-premise, or the 5 Italians in a Boat made from five meatballs smothered in sauce and parmesan cheese on top of Tuscan bread. The House Salad is perfect for a side portion, while the Italian Junk Salad is big enough to be a meal.
When it comes to Ferrante’s signature pizzas, we can’t pick a favorite between the Texas Ranch with grilled chicken and jalapeño ranch dressing, the Pesto Margherita with a seasoned crust and four kinds of cheese, and the North Shore with sausage, mushrooms, and onions. Alternatively, try a made-to-order calzone or stop by on a Friday for the Fish Fry Friday featuring your favorite catch from the sea. Finish it off with a sweet slice of chocolate fudge layer cake or tiramisu.

From pizza and dipping sauces to appetizers and desserts, you’re sure to find a new favorite at one of these pizza places. After you’ve finished enjoying your meal, head on over to Sommer’s Buick to find the best quality of vehicles in Wisconsin!
